STANLEY MILLZ / IMPORTANT INFORMATION / TERMS AND CONDITIONS

TERMS &
CONDITIONS

Last updated: 01/08/2026

1. Who we are and how to contact us

This website, www.stanleymillz.com (the Site), is operated by Stanley Millz under the trading name(s) Addictive Assets (we, us, our). You can contact us at Frontcounter@stanleymillz.com

2. About these terms

These terms govern use of the Site and purchases made through it. By using the Site, you agree to the website-use provisions. When you submit an order, you agree to the terms of sale in force at that time.

If you are buying wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession, you are a consumer. Consumer law gives you rights that these terms do not exclude or reduce. If you buy for business purposes, the provisions expressly referring to consumers do not apply.

Please save or print a copy of these terms. We will also provide the contractual information in a form you can keep, normally in your order-confirmation email.

3. Our artwork and product descriptions

We sell original artwork, altered-currency artwork, limited-edition prints, framed or slabbed works, artist proofs, merchandise, commissions and related physical or digital authenticity records, as described on each product page.

We take reasonable care to display colours, dimensions, materials, edition numbers, condition and other details accurately. Screens and lighting vary, so colours may appear different in person. Measurements are approximate unless expressly described as exact.

Original, handmade and mixed-media works may contain intentional variations, marks, textures, brushwork, layering and other characteristics of the creative process. Genuine circulated banknotes may show age, folds, marks, serial numbers and wear. These characteristics are not defects if they were shown or reasonably described before purchase. Nothing in this section excuses damage, a misleading description or a product that fails to meet statutory standards.

An “edition” refers to the numbered edition stated on the product page or COA. Artist proofs, printer proofs or other variants will be described separately if offered. We will not knowingly sell more numbered copies than the stated edition.

Artwork incorporating currency is sold as an artistic and collectible object. It is not sold as legal tender, a financial product or an investment, and we make no promise about resale value, price appreciation or future market demand.

References to third-party names, characters, brands or cultural material describe the subject or context of an artwork. Unless expressly stated, no affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement is claimed. This statement does not create a licence or override any third party's intellectual-property rights.

4. Eligibility and acceptable use

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order. You must provide accurate, current and complete information.

You must not misuse the Site, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape or reproduce substantial content, interfere with security, impersonate another person, make fraudulent purchases, or use the Site unlawfully. We may suspend access or cancel an affected order where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Site or our legal rights.

5. How the order process works

The product pages and shopping basket are invitations to place an order, not offers by us to sell. You make an offer when you submit the order using the button that clearly indicates an obligation to pay.

After ordering, you should receive an acknowledgement. This confirms receipt only. A binding contract is formed when we send a separate order-acceptance or dispatch confirmation, or when we begin a commissioned service with your express agreement, whichever occurs first. We may decline an order before acceptance, including where an item is unavailable, a price or description contained an obvious error, payment is not authorised, delivery is not available to the destination, or fraud or sanctions checks reasonably require it. If payment has been taken for a declined order, it will be refunded.

One-off originals can sell only once. If two orders are placed before stock records update, the first successfully accepted order will normally take priority and the other will be refunded.

6. Prices, taxes and payment

Prices are shown in pound sterling GBP. The final checkout will show the price payable, applicable taxes, delivery and any unavoidable charges before the order is submitted. Optional extras are charged only with the customer's express choice.

We are not currently registered for VAT and do not charge UK VAT.]

For international orders, import VAT, customs duties, brokerage or local charges may be imposed by the destination country. Unless the checkout expressly says duties are prepaid, the customer is responsible for those charges. We do not control them. This does not make the customer responsible for our own taxes or undisclosed mandatory charges.

Payments are processed by wix payments proccessor under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not normally receive full card details. Payment must be authorised before dispatch or work begins, except where we agree staged payments for a commission.

If a price is obviously incorrect and the error could reasonably have been recognised, we may reject or cancel the order and refund payment. We will not alter an agreed price merely because our costs later increase.

7. Dispatch, delivery and international orders

Estimated dispatch and delivery times are shown on the Site or in the order confirmation. Unless we agree otherwise, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is formed. Commission estimates depend on the agreed brief..

Dates are estimates unless we expressly agree that a particular date is essential. We will contact you if a material delay is likely. Consumer remedies for late delivery are not affected.

Delivery is complete when the goods come into the physical possession or control of you or a person you identify to receive them. Risk passes at that point, except where you independently appoint a carrier that we did not offer. Ownership passes when we receive full cleared payment and the goods have been delivered.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for arranging safe receipt. If a parcel is returned after reasonable delivery attempts because the address was wrong or delivery was refused, we may charge the reasonable cost of redelivery, but we will not remove statutory rights.

International customers are responsible for checking whether the work can lawfully be imported and for paying destination charges. We may refuse or cancel an order if shipping, sanctions, customs, product or local-law restrictions make fulfilment unlawful or impracticable. Mandatory consumer rights in the customer's country remain unaffected where they apply regardless of the chosen law.

8. Consumer cancellation rights for standard products

If you are a UK consumer buying a standard product online, you generally have 14 days after the day you receive it to tell us that you wish to cancel without giving a reason. Due to original artwork being hand crafted one of one items the cancellation within 14 days is only avaliable for

We will refund the product price and the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery option. We do not have to refund the additional cost of an upgraded delivery option you selected. We may reduce the refund to reflect loss in value caused by handling beyond what would be reasonably permitted in a shop. Opening packaging and reasonably inspecting the work is permitted; hanging, mounting, altering, exposing it to damage or removing tamper-evident edition or COA identifiers may go beyond reasonable inspection depending on the circumstances.

We will make the refund using the original payment method, unless agreed otherwise and without extra cost. We may withhold the refund until we receive the product or evidence that it has been sent back, whichever is earlier. Once that condition is met, the refund will be made within the period required by law.

The cancellation right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, including genuinely bespoke commissions, except where they are faulty, damaged or misdescribed. A one-off original, limited edition, artist proof or item merely produced after ordering is not automatically “personalised”; the exception is used only where the statutory test is met.

9. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods

We are responsible for supplying goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for any purpose made known to us where the law requires it. Your statutory remedies may include a short-term right to reject, repair or replacement, price reduction or final rejection, depending on the circumstances and timing.

If an item arrives damaged, photograph the outer packaging, inner packaging, shipping label and product and contact the team as soon as reasonably possible. Prompt notice helps us pursue the carrier but does not shorten your statutory rights. Do not dispose of packaging until we respond.

Where a product is faulty, damaged on delivery or misdescribed, we will pay reasonable return costs and provide the remedy required by law. A warranty, COA or authentication service is additional to, and does not replace, statutory rights.

10. Commissions and personalised work

Commission orders are also governed by the separate Commission Terms. The agreed written brief, size, medium, price, payment schedule, estimated timetable, number of revision rounds and delivery method form part of the contract.

Unless agreed otherwise, a commission deposit is 75%. We will identify before payment whether and when it becomes non-refundable, reflecting work actually undertaken and losses reasonably incurred; nothing permits us to retain more than the law allows. Work outside the agreed brief may require an additional fee and timetable.

Because commissions are created to the customer's specifications or are clearly personalised, the change-of-mind cancellation right will normally not apply. This does not affect rights where the work is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied with reasonable care and skill.

11. Digital certificates of authenticity and NFC features

Where stated, a physical product includes an NFC tag, serial number, web-linked record or digital COA. The product page will explain the included functionality, compatibility and any customer action required. A compatible device, internet connection and third-party services may be required.

The digital COA records information such as artwork title, artist, medium, edition, unique record identifier and authentication status. It is evidence supporting provenance; it is not a guarantee of market value and does not by itself transfer copyright or other intellectual-property rights.

We take reasonable steps to keep authentication records available and secure, but internet, hosting, NFC and third-party services may occasionally be unavailable. We may migrate the record or verification URL to a replacement system while preserving its essential authentication function. We will not intentionally withdraw a paid, lifetime authentication feature unless necessary for security, law or circumstances outside our reasonable control, in which case we will take reasonable steps to provide an alternative.

Customers must not clone, alter, obscure or fraudulently use an NFC tag, serial number or COA. Suspected tampering may be marked in the authentication record after a fair review. If ownership-transfer registration is offered, the seller and buyer should follow the stated transfer process; the authentication record does not itself determine legal title.

If a separately supplied digital file or digital service begins during the 14-day cancellation period, the checkout will request any express consent and acknowledgement required by law before supply starts. General acceptance of these terms alone is not used as that consent.

12. Care, framing and installation

Follow any care instructions supplied. Currency, paper, acrylic, vinyl and mixed media may be sensitive to moisture, heat, pressure and ultraviolet light. Unless installation is part of our contract, you are responsible for using suitable fixings and competent installers. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper handling, mounting, storage, cleaning or display after risk has passed, but this does not exclude liability arising from a product defect or our negligence.

13. Intellectual property

The Site and the original material we own in it—including our original artwork, photographs, text, graphics, logos and layout—are protected by copyright, trade mark and other rights. All rights are reserved.

Buying a physical artwork or print transfers ownership of that physical item only. It does not transfer copyright, trade marks, design rights or reproduction rights. Subject to law, the buyer may privately possess, display, gift or resell the physical item. The buyer must not reproduce, scan, mint as an NFT, commercially exploit, merchandise, licence, distribute or create derivative products from the work without our prior written permission.

You may share ordinary photographs of a purchased work for personal, non-commercial purposes with reasonable attribution, unless we ask you not to disclose confidential commission material before release.

If you give us photographs, logos, text or other material for a commission, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it for the agreed purpose. You grant us a limited licence to use it to perform the contract. You will be responsible for reasonably foreseeable losses arising from a false rights claim, but not where we caused or should reasonably have identified the infringement. We may reject a brief that we reasonably believe is unlawful or infringes rights.

We may photograph and display the finished commission in our portfolio and marketing after delivery, unless confidentiality is agreed in writing / We will seek separate permission before public display.

14. Reviews, promotions and discount codes

Reviews must reflect genuine experience. We do not publish, commission or incentivise fake or misleading reviews. If an incentive is offered for an honest review, it will be clearly disclosed and the incentive will not depend on positivity. We may moderate unlawful, abusive, irrelevant, confidential or demonstrably false content, but will not remove a genuine review merely because it is negative.

Promotions, countdowns, stock statements and discount codes are subject to their stated conditions and will not be presented misleadingly. Unless stated otherwise, one code may be used per order, has no cash value, cannot be applied retrospectively and may exclude commissions or specified releases. Statutory rights apply equally to sale items.

15. Site availability and external links

We may update, suspend or withdraw Site content for maintenance, security or business reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Product contracts already accepted remain governed by the applicable terms.

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party content or services, although this does not limit responsibility we cannot lawfully exclude where a third party acts on our behalf in fulfilling the contract.

16. Our responsibility to consumers

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for business losses suffered by a consumer.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights, defective products where liability cannot be excluded, or any other liability that law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

If digital content we supply damages a consumer's device or other digital content because we failed to use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay appropriate compensation as required by law.

17. Business customers

If you buy wholly or mainly for business purposes, all implied terms are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Subject to liabilities that cannot legally be limited, our total liability arising from a business order will not exceed 100% of the amount paid for that order, and we will not be liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings, goodwill, data or indirect or consequential loss. This section does not apply to consumers.

18. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control. We will contact you, take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and resume performance when possible. If there is a substantial delay, a consumer may cancel and receive a refund for products not supplied, subject to applicable law.

19. Complaints and alternative dispute resolution

Please send complaints to Frontcounter@stanleymillz.vom including your order number and a clear description. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 14 working days and to provide a substantive response within 28 working days.

20. Personal information

We use personal information as described in our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy. Those notices do not form contractual promises beyond the requirements of applicable data-protection law.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future Site use and orders. The version in force when an order is accepted applies to that order unless a change is required by law or agreed with you. We will show the “last updated” date and keep a copy of material prior versions where reasonably practicable.
