Art you can verify

Where a work includes an NFC-linked digital certificate of authenticity, tap the marked area with a compatible phone or visit the verification link. The record may display the artist, title, medium, series, edition, creation date, artwork image, unique record number and authentication status.

The COA supports authenticity and provenance. It is not a valuation, financial product, promise of future value or transfer of copyright. Keep the physical label, slab or NFC tag intact and do not publish private owner information.

Buying or reselling a work

Before buying on the secondary market, compare the physical work, record number, edition and status. A valid record is one part of due diligence and does not replace checking the seller's identity, title or condition. If there is a LOST/STOLEN marker on the digital record then assume correct. these markers are manually placed on the digital file and not automatically generated. Core artwork and edition details may remain in the permanent provenance record, while personal details are handled under the Privacy Notice.

If the tag does not work

Phone NFC antenna positions vary. Unlock the phone, enable NFC if required, remove thick cases and hold the phone over the tag for several seconds. If the tag is damaged or the page is unavailable, contact teammillz@proton.me with photographs and the visible record number. Never send full payment-card details.
