STICK UP KID is an original mixed-media currency artwork created across four genuine US $1 bills, arranged vertically to form one continuous composition.

The piece centres on a masked child standing front-facing, dressed in oversized streetwear and holding a weapon, with a yellow smiley fixed to the balaclava. The contrast between innocence, identity and threat gives the artwork its tension — pushing together childhood symbolism, street culture and the visual language of money in a way that feels both playful and uneasy.

Built directly across the four banknotes using acrylic paint, ink and mixed media, the artwork deliberately leaves parts of the original currency visible throughout. The pyramid, seals, engraved details and note structure remain part of the final image, reinforcing that the work has been created on real circulating currency rather than a printed background.

The reverse side of the bills remains recognisably original, making the construction of the piece clear while preserving the physical presence of the four individual notes.

Each finished artwork is individually numbered, serialised and NFC authenticated, linking the physical piece to its digital certificate of authenticity.
