SERVE & PROTECT is an original mixed-media currency artwork created across three genuine US $1 bills, arranged vertically to form one continuous piece.

The artwork depicts a police officer in full uniform, slouched on a case with a baton in hand — but with the face transformed into a clown. It plays with the contrast between authority and performance, turning the familiar image of law and order into something more cynical, absurd and deliberately uncomfortable.

The mostly monochrome figure is broken up by the yellow smiley details, pulling the piece back into the visual language of C̶o̶u̶n̶t̶e̶r̶f̶e̶i̶t̶ Art Dept.™ while letting the original currency remain visible throughout. The pyramid, eagle, typography and engraved details of the dollar bills become part of the uniform, equipment and background rather than being covered completely.

Created using acrylic paint, ink and mixed media directly onto genuine currency, the three notes remain individually identifiable while combining to create one larger artwork.

Each finished piece is individually numbered, serialised and NFC authenticated, linking the physical artwork to its digital certificate of authenticity.
